Membership of the Society runs from the 1st April to the 31st March of the
following year. Applications for membership are cordially invited and our
Membership Secretary, whose contact details are listed on the Officers of the IOS page, will be pleased to forward an application form with details of the current subscription rates to you. Paid up members of the Society receive a free copy of each issue of our 16 page quarterly newsletter Tyto
News brief and annual 48 page house magazine Tyto. Contributions to the magazine, by members, are always welcomed. Members joining after the commencement of a membership year will, subject to availability, receive all back issues of both publications for that membership year.
The council of the Society, at it’s sole discretion, reserves the right to decline to accept membership applications from persons found guilty of dishonesty or malpractice, or such persons whose activities may be judged to be against the objectives of the Society.
Members may place avian related classified advertisements in Tyto free of charge.
Advertisements should be brief and all items offered for sale must be priced. The
name and telephone number of the advertiser should be included. Members and non-

Members are reminded that any birds listed in Annex A of the EC CITES Regulations, whether dead or alive, may not be offered for sale without an Article 10 Certificate having been obtained from DEFRA ( Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
